JDs DJ Service was started on November 23, 1991 when the DJ I hired to do my wedding pulled a NO SHOW. At that time I had a small radio shack mix board, a dual cassette deck with about 300 tapes, and a single CD player with about 60 CDs.  I hooked these up to a home amplifier/recever and a pair of home speakers. I then talked one of my friends & his dad into spinning the tunes for us. Well it wasn't perfect but it worked.

 

Shortly after this a friend was getting married and asked me if I could do his reception. I agreed and with the help of my best friend, Allen Martin, we played the event (as a wedding gift). While doing this wedding reception, we had 3 different people ask what we charged.

 

Well long story made short, the business was up and running and has not slowed down. We have expanded our music selection to thousands of songs on both CD & MP3 and now run Professional Grade equipment, including Peavy, Gemini, Audio Technica, Sony, and more.

 

JDs DJ Services cut its teeth on performing at wedding receptions and focused on these type of events for many years.

 

You will probably notice by the website, that our main focus has shifted from weddings to automotive events, however we are still very involved with all types of events.
